The Yeti Crossroads 22L Backpack

March 13, 2020 by Travis Pike Leave a Comment

alsoMe and this backpack could be singing “I’ve been everywhere man,” in unison. In the last few months, I’ve taken the Yeti Crossroads backpack down plenty of long roads. From Vegas and SHOT Show to controlled burns and expeditions through the woods, water, and city. It’s become my go-to choice for a daypack for a number of reasons.

1. It’s Well Made

One of the big reasons is quality. Yeti is mostly known for its extremely well-made cups, tumblers, and coolers. They single handily created a new industry in the beverage market and have now taken that experience and high-quality craftsmanship into backpacks. Every part and portion of the Crossroads is built to last and is incredibly well made. I’ve tossed, sat on, laid on, dropped, and thrown this pack around and it doesn’t even have as much as a stray Irish pendant.

The zippers have been exposed to dirt and continue to zip, they’ve been hit with rain, seawater, and still have yet to rust or decay. In fact, it’s even easy to clean. It’s had ash, dirt, and desert sand on it and it all just wipes off easily.

2. It Looks Professional

The Crossroads backpack doesn’t look tactical or over the top. I can bring it into an office community and it looks professional and well made. It also fits into the field as well. And I can take it in any environment and it doesn’t draw attention.

3. Spacious and Easily Organized

The Crossroads is split into two main pouches and one small front pouch. The small front pouch is at the very top and perfect for electronics, chargers, etc. The mid pocket is the biggest and can be opened quite widely for easy access. The rear pocket is a soft padded pocket that’s perfect for a laptop.

Inside the two main pockets are numerous subpockets that allow for easy organization of your goods. I carry a medical kit, an armor panel, a phone charger, my laptop, a flashlight, a spare knife, and assorted small goods I may or may not need throughout my day. It’s huge, very spacious, and easy to organize my goods in.

4. I can hide a Gun in It

In the very back of the backpack is a small pouch on the very bottom of the pack. You can easily miss it because it’s hidden. It’s perfect for stashing a handgun, or a few extra magazines, or anything sensitive you don’t want to expose when using the backpack. God forbid you to reach into your backpack for your laptop and show Starbucks your handgun.

5. It’s Comfortable to Carry

Last, but certainly not least, the pack is comfortable to carry. The padded straps are great, as is the padded backing. It allows to flow between you and the pack and keeps you cool and mostly sweat-free. The straps are easy and quick to adust and I’ve carried it four hours at a time without discomfort.

The Crossroads by Yeti

The Crossroad 22L Backpack is absolutely fantastic. Yeti is known for its premium goods and the Crossroads is no different. This is a premium grade backpack that can go anywhere and do damn near anything.
