Let’s say you want to build a battle belt. You gotta buy the belt, the belt pad, the pouches, and all that fun stuff. It can be a pain ensuring every component will interact with one another in a manner that works for you. Wilder tactical wants to offer you a complete package and ensure your components all work together seamlessly. The Ultimate Operator package takes most of the work out finding the right battle belt and rig for you.
Ultimate Operator Package bundles a belt pad, two rifle magazine pouches, two pistol magazine pouches, and a tourniquet pouch into one kit. All you need is an internal belt, medkit, and holster and you are ready to rock and roll. If you don’t have an inner belt already Wilder Tactical can also provide you with one of their maybe Cobra buckled belts. I went with the Wilder Tactical Minimalist Cobra belt.
The Mag Pouches
The Wilder Tactical magazine pouches are universal in their respective designs. The pistol pouch can accommodate anything from a Glock 21 45 ACP magazine down to a scrawny single stack 9mm magazine. The compression strap design allows the mag pouch to shrink and grow at will and provides excellent retention. The AR mag pouch will accommodate any AR magazine ranging from polymer to metal.
The Tourniquet pouch runs with CAT and SOFT/SOFT Wide TQs. All the pouches can work with various clips, the Ultimate Operator includes 1.5 or 1.75-inch clips for belt attachments. The pouches can be stacked on each other as well. This means I can stack the pistol and tourniquet pouches onto the rifle mag pouches to save room on my belt or vest if I go that route.
The Wilder Tactical Belt Pad
If you hate bulky belt pads then the Wilder Tactical Minimalist belt pad is for you. This belt pad is quite small but packs a lot of padding and comfort into a small package. The belt is skeletonized and the design is clever. Run the belt through the skeletonized belt pad and leave portions exposed where you want to attach pouches and holsters. This means the belt and your kit is supported by the pad and you can pick and choose exactly where you want your gear.
The Wilder Tactical Belt Pad is textured on the inside and this keeps it from sliding or moving as you run, move, jump, etc. I did a pretty dynamic workout wearing this kit and it stayed in place throughout squats, jumps, sprints, and more. The Belt pad is extremely comfortable and very well made.
Putting it Together
It does take some time and effort to put everything together correctly. A little experimentation is required as well. If you are picky and want everything just perfect be prepared to take everything apart and put it back together a time or two. I did so to ensure my magazines were all within easy reach of my non-dominant hand.
Once assembled I hit the range running with my favorite AR pistol. As you can see I chose a Polymer 80 Glock build I did from an 80% lower last year as my handgun and it sits nestled in an Omnivore Holster.
On the range, the pouches and belt performed admirably. The kit stayed very comfortable and refused to move while shooting and scooting. The magazines all stayed in place while sprinting, taking a knee, or even climbing into the prone. The kit retained the gear and didn’t let flap like a chicken when moving. I can even draw and reload under movement with ease. The Ultimate Operator Package takes no prisoners and provides you with an affordable, well-made, and modern battle belt kit.
Best of all you know every component can work together with ease, in fact, the kit is designed to work together and to provide a functional and useable piece of kit for shooters of all walks of life. It’s comfortable, modular, versatile, and extremely rugged. Check out Wilder Tactical here.
