I recently picked up a couple knives from Odinwolf Knives to add to my outdoors rotation. For general outdoors use, I got the W1 Outdoor/Survival knife (W1). The W1 is made of 440C steel, is a full tang 4 ¾” blade with an overall length 9 ¾”. The handle is a polymer composite and the sheath is plastic with a drain hole in the bottom. There is a loop at the end of the grip for a lanyard. The handle is comfortable and works well enough for my large hands. Finally, the spine of the blade is designed to make it easy to throw sparks from a ferro rod.
I conducted my usual three tests that I use as a standard for outdoors type blades. Creating shavings/fuzz sticks for starting a fire, buttoning wood for a fire and using the spine in conjunction with ferro rod to get a fire started. The Odinwolf W1 handled all three with ease. The only complaint that I have is a minor one. It’s that the part of the sheath that attaches to the belt is flimsy. And feels like it would easily break if a little stress were applied. To remedy this possibility, I used a loop of 550 cord as the attachment point on my belt.
All in all, I think this is a good knife for general outdoors use and feels up to the task. MSRP is $24.90 which includes shipping and taxes according to the website. I think this is a great knife for anyone and especially if you’re in need of a couple for a family or group.

About Odinwolf:
“The founder and owner of ODENWOLF, Philipp Bugert, always had one name buzzing through his head before starting the company. The name ODENWOLF was able to combine two important points.
On the one hand, the beginning of the term is reminiscent of the beautiful Odenwald, a forest in the southern part of Germany and the headquarters of our family business. On the other hand, it is based on the first name of Philipp Bugert’s grandfather, who loved to spend his free time in nature and was also interested in knives. To this day, our family business tries to stay true to these two anchor points. A close exchange with our outdoor friends enables us to develop high-quality products that make trips into nature even more enjoyable.
In every millimeter of our products are the wishes and suggestions of our outdoor friends. Suggestions for improvement are not lost in the sand, but flow directly into product development. Our slogan “BE PART OF THE WOLFPACK” is not an empty phrase, but an important part of our work.”
