The Magpul DAKA Everyday wallet has been part of my EDC for a while now. Before the DAKA I carried a bulky L-fold wallet that I always had to take out of my pocket or adjust before sitting down. Now with the DAKA’s slim profile, I don’t have to worry about being uncomfortable or printing. It’s strong and durable and hasn’t come apart at all since I started using it. The ID window is still clear enough to read my driver’s license and hasn’t detached or stretched from the seams.
Magpul says the wallet can hold 3-7 cards and has a pocket for paper money or notes. My DAKA carries two ID cards, two credit cards, and $100 cash in a nice little package. I’ve stuffed up to 20 bills in the note pocket but it will start to defeat the slim profile of the wallet. When I go to pay with the DAKA it looks very professional without the excess that most people carry around.
After carrying this wallet for a year I don’t think I will ever go back to a thick folding wallet. For about $25 you will finally have the wallet you never knew you needed. In the following video, I’ll be comparing a brand new Magpul DAKA Everyday wallet with the one I’ve been carrying for the last year.
