The sun is out and it’s going to be one of those hot summer days. Time to head to the lake for a day on the boat. Grab the towels, sun screen, food, beverages, PFD’s and off you go. I’ve done this time and time again. And one thing I’ve neglected is having a useful medical kit onboard, until recently. MYMEDIC offers a wide range of specific medical kits. From Individual First Aid Kits like the previously reviewed Solo Kit to the Boat Medic. Housed in a waterproof, dust-proof, sink-proof hard shell case, the Boat Medic is guaranteed to protect against the perils of the boating environment.

Hopefully I’ll never need to use this kit on my family. But having it onboard is good peace of mind. The durable case affords the user multiple uses outside of the boating environment. One could throw it in the truck should your adventure shift gears. What I like about the Boat Medic is that there is additional room inside the case. Enough room for me to add an epi-pen and a few additional items I like to have on-hand. Plus, you can order replacement or additional Mod’s directly from MYMEDIC.
Most people don’t realize how dangerous oceans, lakes, rivers and boats can be. Often times, not until it’s too late. Being prepared while on a boat is more than just packing live vests for all souls onboard. It’s having reliable communications to shore. Knowledge of the current and forecast weather in your area. And the ability to treat common as well as serious injuries while afloat. More often than not, you’ll probably come upon an accident involving others. Having the proper medical gear onboard like the Boat Medic could save someones life. But most importantly, having the training to use this kit is paramount.
