First Look: Bear Creek Arsenal Rolls Out New .400 Legend Uppers & Rifles

April 14, 2025 by Scott Witner Leave a Comment

Bear Creek Arsenal 400 Legend

Bear Creek Arsenal is expanding its lineup again—this time with a hard-hitting new addition chambered in the increasingly popular .400 Legend. Designed for hunters and range-day regulars, the new .400 Legend Uppers and Rifles feature 18″ parkerized barrels, rear or side charging options, and that signature Bear Creek balance of value and performance.

While Bear Creek Arsenal has carved out a reputation for affordable AR-pattern rifles, this launch shows they’re also paying attention to ballistic trends—and the .400 Legend is a good one to bet on.

Why the .400 Legend?

The .400 Legend is a straight-walled cartridge that’s been turning heads in states with hunting regulations that restrict bottleneck cartridges. With performance comparable to the .450 Bushmaster but with less recoil, it’s gaining traction fast among whitetail hunters in states like Ohio, Indiana, and Michigan.

Bear Creek’s latest offerings are designed to harness the full potential of this cartridge, giving shooters the punch they need without sacrificing accuracy or versatility.

Standout Features

  • 18″ Parkerized Barrels – Built for field use, these barrels offer solid corrosion resistance and consistent performance—even in harsh weather.
  • Rear & Side Charging Options – Whether you prefer the traditional AR layout or like the ergonomics of a side-charger, BCA gives you both options.
  • Versatile Applications – Ideal for medium to large game hunting, but equally at home on the range.
  • Built In-House – As with all BCA products, key components are made in their Sanford, North Carolina facility—helping keep costs low and quality high.

With this release, Bear Creek Arsenal stays true to its mission: make quality firearms accessible to the everyday shooter. Whether you’re looking to upgrade your hunting setup or want to build a .400 Legend from the upper down, this new line is worth checking out.

You can explore the new .400 Legend rifles and uppers now on Bear Creek Arsenal’s website.

About Bear Creek Arsenal

Founded in 2013 and backed by over 50 years of CNC manufacturing experience, Bear Creek Arsenal has built its name on American-made AR platforms—including AR-15s, AR-10s, PCCs, and now proprietary builds like the HuntMaster and Grizzly handgun series. Every key component is produced in-house to ensure quality and keep prices competitive.
